Having problems with our app?

We've been getting a few reports that your refill requests aren't being received in the pharmacy when using our app. Whenever we hear about a problem with our app, we immediately attempt a test refill to verify any problems. We have been unable to duplicate any errors within the app itself, so we thought we might refresh the instructions a bit.
As we mentioned in March, we had a new app developed and were going to phase out the original app. The time has come to shut off the old app and ensure that everyone gets acquainted with the new one. As you know, the old app was called simply "Michelle's Pharmacy" - our new one is called "Michelle's Pharmacy Illinois". We had to add "Illinois" to the name to avoid copyright issues as the new app builders represented a different company.
Anyway, we want to make sure everyone has access to the new app. If the Michelle's Pharmacy app you have installed looks like this on the main screen, it's the old one:

If that's the one you have, you can uninstall it.

Now, go to the AppStore if you have an iPhone, or to Google Play for your Android, and download "Michelle's Pharmacy Illinois". After installation you will have to re-enter your prescription info as it does not migrate the info from the old app.

Once installed, the new app looks like this:

If you experience any problems contacting us or submitting your refills, please call us or show us the problem the next time you're in the store. Our goal is to make getting your refills as easy as possible. We'll do whatever we can to assist you.

What is Solutions Rx Restore?

Has your Doctor prescribed the use of cholesterol-lowering medications such as Atorvastatin, Crestor, Lipitor, Pravastatin, Simvastatin or beta blockers like Metoprolol, Atenolol, or Carvedilol? And are you suffering from a drug induced nutrient depletion as a result of a cholesterol medication? Maybe you're just looking to improve your overall health? In any case, Solutions Rx Restore provides effective results with just two tablets a day. Solutions Rx has created a multi-vitamin and enzyme combination that replaces the most essential vitamins that specific prescription drugs (like the statins listed above) and diseases take away from the body. Available in formulations to assist in High Blood Pressure support, Cholesterol support, and Diabetes support, Solutions Rx is designed to exceed the recommended daily allowance of certain vitamins. The recommended daily allowance is defined as the smallest amount of a vitamin required by the human body to avoid disease. Solutions Rx is pharmacist-developed and dedicated to quality, your health, and overall satisfaction. Ask us about Solutions Rx Restore during your next visit.

OK, this is it! We're moving to our new store July 31st!

After months of work we've nearly arrived at moving day! We are still open at our current location on the Carlinville square until 2pm on Saturday, July 29th. We are closed Sunday, as always. Then we re-open at our new location at 274 N. Broad St. in Carlinville at 8am on Monday, July 31st. You probably remember that location as the former video store in the Broad St. Plaza, along with Dollar General, Snap Fitness, and next to CarQuest. Much more, and much easier, parking is available and our new drive-up window on the south side of the building will be ready for you, too! We look forward to continuing serving you at our new location for many years!

An update for Android Users of Our App

One of the newest Android software updates (Android 7.0) affects how you select your birth date, and it may cause some confusion and frustration. The change affects all Android apps across all industries, and is not limited to our pharmacy app.
The birth date selection process can be a little tricky because we’ve been conditioned to think of our birthday in this order — month, day, year. The software update, however, requires users to select their birthday in this order — year, month, day. When using our app on Android for the profile setup or refill process, it seems you have to manually scroll back several years from 2017 to the year you were born, but there is a much easier way if you follow these three simple steps:

1) Select the year located at the top left hand corner.
2) Find the month by scrolling forwards or backwards on the   calendar.
3) Choose the day by clicking on the proper date on the calendar.

We are working on a solution to override Android’s default calendar function, but in the meantime, you can use the steps above to complete the refill form. For additional help or to learn more about our services, please give us a call at 217.854.4022.

And a reminder - we are just days away from moving our current location on the Carlinville square to our new location at 274 N Broad St (3 blocks north of the square). Keep an eye out here, on Facebook & Twitter for the latest news!

Another update on our Carlinville store

DRIVE-UP INSTALLED!
We have a few more pics for you of the progress on our new Carlinville location. Click or tap the pics for a larger view. Our goal now is to be open before the end of July. Several of the new display fixtures have arrived and we'll show those to you as we get them positioned. The carpet has been thoroughly cleaned in preparation for the arrival of the new shelving for our expanded over-the-counter selection of brand name and economically priced Good Sense offerings. Beginning tomorrow, we'll be moving some stuff around in our current location as we begin removing some displays from the walls and getting them moved. Our goal is to keep the disruption to a minimum, but don't forget to ask for assistance if something is not where you saw it previously. As always, we're here to help.

An update on our new location in Carlinville

Original pharmacy framing
Oh, Hello! It's been a while since we've given you any info on the move to our new location in Carlinville, so we thought we would give you a little update (the last update was at the end of April! Sorry for the delay). Anyway, vacations will be wrapping up in the next few weeks, so you'll see a lot more progress shortly. Our estimate in April was that we would be moved in by the end of June. But, like any worthwhile project, we're taking a little extra time to insure that the building upgrades, both in physical & aesthetic layout, will meet our high standards for security, ease of access, and appearance. We're in the process of refurbishing & refinishing some unique displays we've found (including some very old interior doors with transoms - how long has it been since you've seen a working transom?). The carpet is being professionally cleaned in the next several days in preparation for the arrival of the new shelving next week. Most of the new cabinets in the pharmacy proper are installed with final positioning still to come to accommodate work flow and the installation of the drive-up window. Furniture and shelving for the new offices and the required secure file storage is on its way. And the break room/kitchen is coming along nicely - yay!

Check out the work-in-progress pics to get an idea of what we've been up to, and keep an eye out here for more updates, as well as the announcement of our Grand Opening celebration. We thank you for your patience while we build a much improved pharmacy experience for you!

A peek at our new location

Thanks to your continuing gracious patronage, we find that we have outgrown our location on the square in Carlinville. So, it's time to move! Interior construction has begun to transform our new store located in the Broad Street Plaza in Carlinville, next to our friends at Dollar General, Snap Fitness, and CarQuest. You likely remember this space as the former Family Video store. We'll have much more room to expand our selection of quality over-the-counter meds, more durable medical equipment, and Dr. Comfort and Vionic footwear. The new pharmacy area will feature separate drop-off and pick-up windows for your additional privacy, and a new seating area if you have a short wait. And, of course, there is a greatly expanded parking area with no curbs, more handicapped parking closer to the entrance, and (coming soon) a drive-through pickup window. We don't have a firm moving date yet, but we expect to be in our new location sometime this Summer. Keep an eye here on our blog, and watch for updates on Twitter (@MichellesRx), Facebook (Michelles Pharmacy), and on the front page of our app (Michelles Pharmacy Illinois).

UPDATE APRIL 30TH: Here's another pic showing the progress inside. This is the view from the entrance showing the secure new pharmacy area on the left. Just out of frame on the left will be the checkout area, seating area for any brief wait you may experience, and the private multi-purpose room for diabetic shoe exams and fittings, as well as for the administration of vaccinations. Our most recent estimate for the opening at the new location is at the end of June.

We have a new updated app!

We've partnered with our new friends at DigitalPharmacies/RxWiki in order to bring you a new app for your iPhone or Android and to make our web site more useful to you. The content on both is a work-in-progress, so things may not be quite as full on the web site yet as the app for your phone, but we are prepping the new content every day and the web site will be brimming with even more useful features soon. The app looks a bit different, but more info is available now than on our previous app.
On the new app, we have the capability to update you anytime with previously unannounced sales and links to our blog and twitter accounts, and any info regarding our hours of operation and any unexpected changes that can occur on a daily basis (we could have used that capability last week during the big power outage that closed our Bunker Hill store for a day following the tornado that passed through Macoupin county).

If you're reading our blog on your PC
(as more than half of our visitors do)
you can point your iPhone QR reader
right here to get to the new app on iPhone--------

use your QR reader right here - - - - - - -

Or if you prefer simply search the AppStore or Google Play for "Michelle's Pharmacy Illinois" (that's the new app name).
If you'd prefer to continue using our old app you have installed, you can do so. The ability to refill your prescriptions and to contact us directly from the old app will not change right away. The new app will have more frequently updated Health News, special sales and other info, but we won't discontinue the old app without giving you plenty of notice, so don't panic. You have lots of time to get the new app before we close the old one.
If you have any questions, please call us or send an email to john@michellespharmacy.com.
